Former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel has sparked a Premier League firestorm by branding Arsenal’s set-piece dominance as “unlawful” and “ugly.”
Talking on talkSPORT, the two-time league winner accused the present leaders of “dishonest” their option to the title by darkish arts throughout corners.
Mikel particularly pointed to a latest match in opposition to Chelsea, alleging that Declan Rice impeded Jorrel Hato to stop him from leaping.
Whereas Arsenal’s statistical effectivity is simple—scoring 21 league targets from useless balls—Mikel argues that the heavy reliance on Nicolas Jover’s set-piece routines has come at the price of the group’s pure creativity and aptitude.
