FUFA President Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim officially launched the pilot FUFA Academies League this week, a cornerstone project of the 2023 Technical Master Plan (TMP).

During a comprehensive workshop at FUFA Hotel, Kisaasi, Football Development Director Bashir Mutyaba detailed the league’s alignment with the “Elite Football” pillar of the TMP.

The initiative aims to standardize youth competitions by moving away from fragmented tournaments toward a structured, season-long league format.

With the kickoff set for March 22, 2026, at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, the league represents the critical bridge between mass participation and professional transition for Uganda’s most promising U17 talents.
