Team Nigeria’s mission to the World Relay Championships intensifies today, March 25, 2026, as the delegation departs for the Lefika International Relays in Gaborone.
Traveling via Ethiopian Airlines with a transit in Addis Ababa, the squad aims to secure the final qualification slots for the global showcase in May. While the women’s 4x100m and 4x400m teams have already qualified, the focus now shifts to the men’s and mixed relay categories.
Led by AFN President Tonobok Okowa, the 13-man athlete roster represents the culmination of a rigorous six-week training camp in Asaba designed to perfect technical baton exchanges and peak physical conditioning.
