Vipers study CECAFA Kagame Cup Group Stage Opponents

The 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup group stage draw has been held on Friday in Kigali, Rwanda, with 12 groups together with Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC studying their opponents.

On the ceremony held at Amahoro Stadium, Vipers was drawn alongside hosts APR FC, Kenyan giants Gor Mahia, and Garde Républicaine of Djibouti in Group A.

Reigning competitors champions Singida Black Stars have been paired in Group B with Simba SC, Jamus SC of South Sudan, and Mogadishu Metropolis Membership of Somalia.

Final 12 months’s runners-up Al Hilal will face Rayon Sports activities, Tusker FC, and KVZ of Zanzibar in Group C.

The winners from every group make it on to the semi-final stage and are joined by one of the best performing second positioned group among the many three teams.

The event will formally run from July 24 to August 7 in Rwanda’s capital Kigali.
